Epidemiology of Carcinoid Heart Disease (CHD) in Patients (pts) with Carcinoid Syndrome (CS): A Systematic Literature Review

Introduction: CHD develops in the context of CS due to the exposure of high levels of vasoactive substances, such as serotonin.

Aim(s): This review reports CHD among CS pts epidemiology outcomes.

Materials and methods: A systematic literature search was performed in PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library and ClinicalTrials.gov. Study type, patient characteristics and epidemiological outcomes were collected.
