Does TNM Staging Classification Predict Survival in Patients with Small Bowel Neuroendocrine Tumors?

#378

Introduction: Small bowel (SB) NETs are regarded as relatively indolent cancers. ENETS has published TNM staging. This study aims to demonstrate whether the TNM stage predicts survival in this cohort of patients.

Aim(s): To retrospectively stage patients with known SB primary NETs and see whether survival is dependent on stage of disease.

Materials and methods: One-hundred and thirty-eight patients with confirmed SB NETs were identified from the Kings NET database. Radiological, surgical and histological notes were reviewed to determine stage and grade of disease in patients where possible.
