Single Institutional Series of Neuroendocrine Tumors Managed in the Australian Capital Territory
#412
Introduction: Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) have been regarded as indolent tumors with significantly variable clinical behavior. Limited information is available on long-term clinical outcome and clinically applicable prognostic factors.
Aim(s): Retrospective review of NETs to examine epidemiology and clinico-pathological factors which would predict survival and prognosis
Materials and methods: This multicentre analysis included patients identified from a hospital database with histologically proven NETs (lung carcinoids excluded). Data was analysed according to epidemiological, clinical and histopathological characteristics.
