Introduction: Typical lung carcinoids(TCs)are rare tumors with good, although heterogeneous, prognosis.
Conference: 17th Annual ENETSConcerence (2020)
Presenting Author: Briganti V
Authors: Briganti V, Berti V, Abenavoli E, Linguanti F, Ciaccio A,
Keywords: typical lung carcinoid, FDG PET, SSTR imaging, MTV, TLG,
Introduction: Estimating prognosis of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor (PNET) patients remains challenging. Mutation status of DAXX/ATRX/MEN1, histone modification patterns and immunohistochemistry for relevant transcription factors, including PDX1, were recently used to perform subtyping and distinguished two main types, A and B. These subtypes are linked to cell-of-origin and associated with clinical outcome.
Conference: 17th Annual ENETSConcerence (2020)

Keywords: Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumor, DNA Methylation, Prognostic Biomarker,
Introduction: Everolimus (EVE) (mTOR inhibitor) is an effective drug in the treatment of well-differentiated NETs of different localizations, however, prognostic factors for the correct choice of therapy are not well understood.
Conference: 17th Annual ENETSConcerence (2020)
Presenting Author:
Authors: Markovich A, Kuznetsova A, Gorbunova V, Orel N, Emelianova G,
Keywords: neuroendocrine tumors, everolimus, uni- and multivariate analysis,
Introduction: Lanreotide is a long-acting somatostatin analogue with proven antitumor effect against metastatic, well-differentiated gastroenteropancreatic-neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs). Ga-68-DOTATOC PET/CT is a sensitive imaging technique for NETs by targeting somatostatin receptors.

Keywords: neuroendocrine tumor, lanreotide, somatostatin receptor, DOTATOC, positron emission tomography, prognosis,
Introduction: Altered expression of Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 (IGF-1), its receptor (IGF-1R), Connective Tissue Growth Factor (CTGF) and Hypoxia Factor-1 (HIF-1), has been implicated in tumorigenesis. These factors have not been studied systematically in Pulmonary Carcinoids (PCs).
