Call for Study Proposals

Investigators from European centres participating in the ENETS Database are invited to submit study proposals using data from the ENETS Database.

We welcome projects that address clinically relevant and scientific questions in neuroendocrine neoplasms and generate high-quality evidence through collaborative research.

Dear ENETS researchers,

ENETS invites investigators with active access to the ENETS Database to submit study proposals utilising ENETS Database data. Proposals are welcome for Level I, Level II, and Level III studies:

  • Level I studies, using minimal datasets
  • Level II studies, based on extended datasets
  • Level III studies, requiring specialised datasets beyond the current database structure

Researchers wishing to submit a proposal are required to complete the ENETS Study Protocol Template and follow the ENETS Database Publication Rules, available for download below. Applicants should also review the Role Profile for Lead Principal Investigators, which outlines the responsibilities and expectations associated with leading an ENETS Database study.

Eligibility

Study proposals may only be submitted by Principal Investigators who:

  • are ENETS members
  • are affiliated with a European centre participating in the ENETS Database under a valid ENETS Database Collaboration Agreement; and
  • hold active user access to the ENETS Database.

Proposal requirements:

Please submit:

  • Completed Study Protocol Template (fillable Word document – please download and complete the template provided below)
  • Confirmation of ethical approval to conduct the study
  • Any supporting documentation, where applicable

For guidance on authorship and publication requirements, please refer to the ENETS DB Publication Rules, available for download below.

Prospective Study PIs are also asked to familiarise themselves with the Role Profile for Lead Principal Investigators before submitting a proposal.

How to submit:

Please submit your complete proposal via email to the ENETS Database Team at database@enets.org. Attachments should include the completed study protocol template and any supporting documentation, where applicable.

All proposals will be evaluated by the ENETS DB Core Group, and applicants will be notified of the Committee’s decision following review.

Thank you for your interest and for contributing to high-quality collaborative NET research across Europe.
