Three ENETS Members Among Latest NETRF Grant Recipients

The Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation (NETRF) has announced the recipients of its latest round of research grants, awarding a total of 13 projects focused on advancing neuroendocrine cancer research.
The funding supports innovative basic and translational research with the aim of improving diagnosis, treatment, and long-term outcomes for patients.

ENETS is pleased to note that three ENETS members are among the funded investigators:

  • Lynnette Fernandez-Cuesta, PhD, Team Leader, International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC–WHO)
    Petersen Accelerator Award
  • Mauro Cives, Associate Professor, University of Bari Aldo Moro
    Investigator Award
  • Thomas Walter, Professor, Cancer Research Center of Lyon
    Investigator Award

The newly funded projects address key challenges in neuroendocrine cancer research, including earlier detection, biomarker-driven personalised care, novel targeted and combination therapies, and strategies to overcome resistance and disease progression.

NETRF awarded a total of USD 2.8 million in this funding round, bringing its overall research investment to nearly USD 43 million. Grant recipients were selected through a competitive international peer-review process.

ENETS congratulates all awardees and welcomes the continued strengthening of international collaboration in neuroendocrine cancer research.
