EBNENM – European Board in Neuroendocrine Neoplasia Medicine
The European Board in Neuroendocrine Neoplasia Medicine (EBNENM) provides a structured pathway to European board certification for physicians specialising in the care of patients with neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs).
Established through collaboration between ENETS and the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), EBNENM brings together defined training requirements, documented competencies and a European board examination. Successful candidates are awarded the title of Fellow of the European Board of Neuroendocrine Neoplasia Medicine.
The programme supports multidisciplinary expertise and shared standards in NEN medicine. It is open to European and non-European physicians who meet the relevant eligibility requirements.
What is EBNENM?
A European board certification pathway in neuroendocrine neoplasia medicine, established through collaboration between ENETS and UEMS.
Why undertake board certification?
To demonstrate specialist knowledge and competencies in NEN medicine through documented training and formal assessment against European standards.
Who is it for?
Physicians with a national specialist qualification who wish to develop and demonstrate their expertise in NEN medicine. European and non-European applicants are welcome, subject to the programme’s training and examination requirements.
EBNENM examinations 2027 – applications open
The examinations will take place during the ENETS 2027 Annual Conference in Milan, Italy.

- Written examination: 10 March 2027
- Oral examination: 11–12 March 2027
