#4481 Predicting peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) response through the landscape of the immune microenvironment in neuroendocrine tumours

Introduction: Neuroendocrine tumours (NETs) often have poor prognosis upon metastasis. Peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) is a novel treatment leveraging targeted cytotoxicity of radionuclides to efficiently address primary and metastatic tumours of NETs.

#4398 The role of chromogranin A as a biomarker in neuroendocrine tumours: Diagnostic and prognostic implications

Introduction: Chromogranin A (CgA) is a widely used serum biomarker for neuroendocrine tumours (NETs), reflecting tumour burden and secretory activity. Despite its clinical utility, the diagnostic sensitivity and prognostic value of CgA remain a subject of debate, especially given its potential for false positives and its variation across different NET subtypes.

#4232 Aurora kinase A inhibition as a promising therapeutic strategy in ARID1A-mutated neuroendocrine carcinomas: First results of an in vitro and in vivo study

Introduction: Neuroendocrine carcinomas of the gastrointestinal tract (GEP-NEC) are rare but extremely aggressive tumor diseases with a 5-year survival rate of approximately 25%. The inactivating ARID1A mutation can be detected in approximately 40% of cases of GEP-NEC. Previous studies have shown that Aurora kinase A inhibition leads to selective synthetic lethality of ARID1A-deficient colorectal tumor cells.

#4165 Detecting NET using Methylation-based biomarkers and the novel IMPRESS technology

Introduction: Due to current limitations, diagnosis of neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) is frequently delayed. Addressing this issue is crucial, necessitating the identification of new, adequate biomarkers. Our previous work highlighted the methylome as a promising source of biomarkers, enabling differentiation of NET vs. non-NET samples, and distinguishing based on tissue of origin (TOO).
