#4427 Surufatinib combined with hepatic artery infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) as second-line and maintenance therapy for neuroendocrine carcinoma with liver metastases: A single-arm, open-label, single-centre phase II clinical study (SuHaNec)

Introduction: Neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC) is rare and highly aggressive, and liver metastasis leads to worse outcomes for patients (pts) with limited treatment options and poor prognosis. Surufatinib (SUR) exhibited promising antitumour activity in neuroendocrine neoplasms.

#3949 Real-world study of Surufatinib combined with hepatic artery infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) for high-grade neuroendocrine neoplasm

Introduction: Current therapeutic schedules of liver metastasis-dominated extrapulmonary high-grade neuroendocrine neoplasm (HG-NEN) have limited clinical benefits and liver metastasis progression is the main cause of death. Surufatinib (SUR, a selective VEGFRs, FGFR1 and CSF-1R inhibitor) showed promising antitumor activity in neuroendocrine neoplasm.

#3353 Severe gastroduodenal ulceration following radioactive microspheres treatment in a woman with metastatic neuroendocrine tumor: A case report of paradoxical microsphere migration

Introduction: Incidence of liver metastasis (LM) in advanced NET is high and associated with poor prognosis. SIR-spheres for non-resectable LM in GEP NETs offers symptom regression and survival benefit. Complications are usually local given the SIR-spheres are delivered directly into the hepatic arteries and give off beta emitting radiation. Off target digression of microspheres to other tissues via hepaticoenteric arteries however can result in nearby organ damage.

#3172 Peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) with Lu-DOTATATE following liver directed therapy (LDT) in neuroendocrine tumors (NETs): Hepatotoxicity and impact on progression-free survival (PFS)

Introduction: PRRT (Lu-DOTATATE) and LDT (e.g. hepatic artery embolization) are commonly used in treating liver dominant NETs. Hepatotoxicity from PRRT in the setting of metastatic disease and prior liver-directed therapy is an important consideration. There is a concern for hepatotoxicity in patients receiving PRRT based on the literature, but there is limited data on patients who may have had a prior liver injury from LDT.
