#3549 Patient characteristics in metastatic neuroendocrine tumors of gastric origin

Introduction: Gastric neuroendocrine tumors are also termed gastric carcinoids (GC) and are generally divided in to 3 types. Type 1 are associated with atrophic gastritis and pernicious anaemia, they tend to be multifocal and said not to metastasise. Type 2 GCs are driven by a gastrinomas and tend to be multifocal also. Type 3 are said to be random, solitary, and have a high risk of metastasising.
