Analysis of gastric NENS in the Czech neuroendocrine tumour registry (2009-2024)

#4354

Introduction: Czech Neuroendocrine Tumour Registry is collecting data of NEN patients and their treatment since 2009. We have already analysed SI NENs, pancreatic and thymic NENs. Now we focused on analysis of gastric NENs.

Aim(s): Gastric NENs are not so common and not every gastroenterologist and oncologist are familiar with their treatment. We made retrospective analysis of their treatment according to their grading (G1, G2, G3) and type (I, II, III).

Materials and methods: There are 4092 patients in our registry, 241 with valid data of gastric NEN, 101 males, 141 females, median age at diagnosis 64 years. 57,3% (138) had G1, 32% (77) G2 and only 10,8% (26) G3. All G3 tumours had not elevation of gastrin levels, and there were only two patients type II gastric NETs associated with gastrinoma. In G3 we are not able to distinguish retrospectively between NET G3 and NEC, because NET G3 was established in classification 2019.
