Introduction: Neuroendocrine breast tumors are a rare entity estimated at 0.1% of all breast tumors.
Aim(s): Determinate the clinical, histological and therapeutic characteristics of this type of rare tumor.
Materials and methods: We report the case of a patient treated in the chemotherapy department at the university hospital of ORAN, Algeria. This is a 64-year-old patient with well-differentiated neuroendocrine carcinoma type T2N1M0 breast cancer. The diagnosis was made on a panel of radiological and histological clinical arguments. A complementary immunohistochemical study was made by a positivity to chromogranin A and synaptophysin. Estrogen receptors were strongly allred7 positive and progesterone negative. There was no overexpression of HER2 antigens. The Ki-67 proliferation index was estimated at 5%.
