Challenging management of ductal adenocarcinoma of the prostate with neuroendocrine differentiation: A case report
#4349
Introduction: Ductal adenocarcinoma of the prostate is a rare subtype of prostate cancer that arises from the ducts of the prostate gland. It is characterised by distinct histological features and a more aggressive clinical course. Neuroendocrine differentiation within this subtype is associated with a more aggressive phenotype and can lead to resistance to conventional androgen deprivation therapies.
Aim(s): To discuss treatment challenges, including treatment resistance and progression.
Materials and methods: Case presentation.
