Characteristics and clinical outcomes after endoscopic or surgical resection of localised sporadic type III gastric NETs: A national study from the French Group of Endocrine Tumors and ENDOCAN-RENATEN network

#4456

Introduction: Type III gastric neuroendocrine tumours (gNETs) are rare indolent tumours with increasing incidence. Endoscopic resection has recently been described to be a safe strategy to remove small, localised type III gNETs.

Aim(s): The aim of this study was to provide real-life data on the clinicopathological features, outcomes and management after endoscopic or surgical resection of localised type III gNETs.

Materials and methods: In this retrospective nationwide cohort, we included all patients with localised type III G1-G3 gNETs removed endoscopically or surgically between January 2009 and April 2023. Recurrence-free survival (RFS) was defined as the time from treatment to evidence of metastatic or local NET recurrence or NET-related death.
