Clinical epidemiology study of gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs): A 10-year retrospective study in China

Introduction: Gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors are getting more common, and need more study on its epidemiology.
Aim(s): To describe the clinical epidemiological characteristics of gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs) in China.
Materials and methods: This study was a hospital-based, multi-center retrospective study. We recruited GEP-NETs patients with a confirmed pathological diagnosis from January 1st, 2001 to December 31st, 2010. The information was collected based on the self-designed case report form (CRF). GEP-NETs was defined as clinical gradeⅠ-Ⅱ.
