Clinical, genetic and histopathological characterisation of patients with multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 in two high complexity hospitals in Medellín, Colombia
#4074
Introduction: Limited observational data exist regarding the characterization of patients with Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Type 1 (MEN-1) in Latin America, particularly in Colombia. This scarcity has led to a reliance on studies that may not precisely depict the actual behaviour of the disease within the population.
Aim(s): This study seeks to address this gap by presenting comprehensive insights into the different characteristics of a cohort of MEN-1 patients in Colombia.
Materials and methods: Retrospective data on demographics, clinical presentation, biochemical, genetic, histopathological and treatment profiles were collected from 13 patients with MEN-1 diagnosis attending two high complexity hospitals in Medellín.
