Clinical management of oesophageal NEC: A popular based study

Introduction: The clinical research of neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC) in oesophagus are limited.

Aim(s): We use the SEER database to determine the clinicopathological characteristics and survival of oesophageal NEC.

Materials and methods: NEC (small cell carcinoma：8002/8041/8044; large cell carcinoma: 8003/8012/8013; neuroendocrine carcinoma: 8246) was selected and patients are divided into three groups according to it. The primary site code was from C15.0 to C15.5 and C15.8 to C15.9. All statistical analyses were performed using Stata 13.0.
