Clinical value of endoscopic submucosal dissection combined with chemotherapy for treatment of esophageal neuroendocrine carcinoma
#3973
Introduction: Due to the lack of large-scale data describing the clinical and pathological characteristics of esophageal neuroendocrine carcinoma(eNEC), there is no standardized diagnosis and treatment of eNEC currently.
Aim(s): To investigate the clinical efficacy and value of endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) combined with chemotherapy for treatment of early esophageal eNEC.
Materials and methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on 4 patients with eNEC who underwent ESD and chemotherapy from 2020 to 2022 in Neuroendocrine Tumor Diagnosis and Treatment Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University. Clinicpathological characteristics, complete resection rate, complications and follow-up results of lesion were studied.
