Clinicopathologic characteristics and survival outcomes in patients with gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms at a Latin American reference centre

#4286

Introduction: Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NEN) have markedly increased over the past two decades. However, published data from Latin American countries remain scarce.

Aim(s): To describe the clinicopathologic characteristics and survival outcomes of a cohort of patients with gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP-NEN) at the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases (INEN) in Lima, Peru.

Materials and methods: This retrospective study analysed a cohort of patients diagnosed with GEP-NEN between January 2012 and February 2024 at the INEN medical oncology department. Overall survival (OS) was estimated using the Kaplan-Meier method, and survival differences according to study variables were assessed using the log-rank test.
