Introduction: Neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC) of head and neck including epidemiology, primary site, treatment, and prognosis remains sparse.

Aim(s): We used the SEER database to determine the clinicopathological characteristics of head and neck NEC.

Materials and methods: Patients diagnosed as head and neck NEC (Small cell carcinoma SCC：8002/8041/8044; Large cell carcinoma LCC: 8003/8012/8013; Neuroendocrine carcinoma NC: 8246.) were selected.
