Complete regression of neuroendocrine cancer metastases after chemotherapy with carboplatin and etoposide

#3390

Introduction: Patients with neuroendocrine carcinomas are usually metastatic at diagnosis and have a poor prognosis. First-line chemotherapy is a combination of cis- or carboplatin and etoposide, with limited and often short-lasting effect.

Aim(s): We report a case with large bowel neuroendocrine carcinoma experiencing complete response to carboplatin + etoposide.

Materials and methods: A 63-year-old woman presented with constipation.
