COVID-19 in patients with neuroendocrine tumors (NETs): The Mayo Clinic experience

Introduction: Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) has been associated with increased morbidity and mortality in cancer patients. NETs are rare and there is paucity of data about COVID-19 outcomes.

Aim(s): To report outcomes in patients with NETs treated at Mayo Clinic who developed COVID-19.

Materials and methods: Adult patients with active NETs (diagnosed within the last 5 years and/or on active treatment) and a positive nasopharyngeal SARS-CoV-2 PCR and/or antibody were included. Data were analysed with descriptive statistics.
