Czech Neuroendocrine Tumor Registry - 28 Months Results

#389

Introduction: Cooperative Group for NET was established on 22 April 2008. It continues with the practices of the Czech Carcinoid Group since 1998. The real incidence of neuroendocrine tumors is unknown. The majority remain undiagnosed. Therefore, the Czech Registry started in October 2009 to identify NET patients and to facilitate the diagnosis and therapy in centers with NET experts.

Aim(s): To register NET patients, including diagnosis, therapy and results, risk and prognostic factors. To establish a network of specialized centers. To make use of fully parametric clinical records and their analyses for practice. To enforce the second reading of histological samples.

Materials and methods: For 28 months, NET patients throughout the Czech Republic have been registered anonymously using an online electronic CRF. We have collected identification and demographic data, NET diagnosis details, biopsy details and TNM staging, clinical assessment data and a chronological list of therapies and status of condition.
