Digestive neuroendocrine tumors – A retrospective study (nine cases)

Introduction: Digestive NETs are rare 1 to 2% of all digestive tumors and constitute a heterogeneous group of neoplastic lesions which differ from each other by their secretory and functional properties, pathogenic mechanisms, clinical presentations, evolution and their prognosis.

Aim(s): Bring a new understanding of digestive NETs in Algeria by evaluating the epidemiological profile and the clinical, anatomo-pathological, therapeutic, and evolutionary aspects during a period of six years.

Materials and methods: This is a retrospective, descriptive study of 9 cases of Digestive NETs, conducted at the Medical Oncology Department of the CAC Oran, during a period of 6 years (January 2016 - September 2022).
