Efficacy of SIRT radioembolisation of liver metastases of neuroendocrine tumours (NETs): A single institution experience
#4332
Introduction: Majority of NET patients develop liver metastases (NET-LM). Improved treatment of NET-LM may prolong survival. In case of liver-dominant metastatic disease, local radionuclide treatment using microspheres could be considered.
Aim(s): Evaluation of the effectiveness and safety of SIRT radioembolisation in patients with unresectable NET-LM.
Materials and methods: Retrospective analysis of radioembolisations with yttrium-90 (90Y) and holmium-166 (166Ho) microspheres in patients with unresectable NET-LM treated in 2018-2024 in MSC Oncology Institute in Gliwice, Poland. Post- treatment tumour response was assessed according to RECIST 1.1. Overall survival was analysed using Kaplan-Meier curve.
