Experiences of combining narrative care and case care in the nursing of patients with neuroendocrine tumours
#4484
Introduction: Patients with neuroendocrine tumours have a long course of disease, facing not only physical pain but also complex psychological changes.
Aim(s): This study focuses on patients with endocrine tumours to gain an in-depth understanding of their care needs. The research aims to provide more comprehensive, detailed and targeted evidence for the care of patients with endocrine tumours.
Materials and methods: The combined method of narrative care and case care was applied. The study selected specific endocrine adenoma patient as the research subject. Narrative care aims to provide psychological support and personalised care through listening to the patient's story and understanding their experiences, while case care focuses on developing a tailored care plan for the patient's unique condition. The rationale behind combining two methods is that patients with endocrine tumours face not only physical pain but also complex psychological changes. This comprehensive approach can meet the needs of both patients and their families in a holistic manner.
