Factors associated with post-operative pancreatic insufficiency after distal pancreatectomy for localised non-functioning pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (NF-PanNET)
#4249
Introduction: Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors (pNETs) are rare neoplasms, often indolent in nature. Surgery is the backbone of curative treatment for localised panNETs. As the majority of these patients are cured by surgery, the development of long-term complications such as post-operative pancreatic insufficiency is critical.
Aim(s): The aim of the study was to evaluate the post-operative onset of long-term pancreatic impairment and to investigate factors associated with it.
Materials and methods: All consecutive patients who underwent distal pancreatectomy (DP) for localised non-functioning (NF) - pNETs (M0) at San Raffaele Hospital (2016–2022), were considered.
