Giant adrenal tumor: a case report
#149
Introduction: A gigantic adrenal tumor is a challenge regarding diagnosis before surgery and pathological exam, but also related to the surgical approach itself due to multiple risks.
Aim(s): To present a case of an adrenal cyst that mimics a carcinoma because of increased dimensions, necrosis and calcifications.
Materials and methods: We performed a case study of a patient with an incidentally discovered adrenal tumor, which showed apparent rapid growth. The final diagnosis was established based on the immunohistochemical examination of the surgically removed adrenal mass.
