Grade 2 (G2) gastro-entero-pancreatic (GEP) neuroendocrine tumors (NETs): Risk stratification beyond Ki-67?
#4091
Introduction: G2 GEP-NETs are well-differentiated neuroendocrine neoplasms with Ki-67 proliferation index of 3-20%. Rather than behaving as a monolithic category, these neoplasms are often characterized by an unpredictable outcome, and additional biomarkers are needed.
Aim(s): To analyze G2 GEP NETs, identifying possible prognostic/predictive factors.
Materials and methods: We retrospectively analyzed the clinicopathological features of 142 G2 GEP-NET, diagnosed and treated in our institution from 2011 to 2022, with available histopathological material and complete clinical records. A histopathological review was performed according to WHO ENDO5.
