Itanet national prospective database: A comprehensive analysis of epidemiology and clinical presentation of GEP-NEN in Italy

Introduction: Epidemiological data on GEP-NEN are heterogeneous, making interpretation difficult.

Aim(s): In 2019, the Italian Association for Neuroendocrine Tumors (Itanet) developed a national database for newly diagnosed GEP-NEN patients to study epidemiology, clinical presentation, treatment, and survival.

Materials and methods: This study (NCT04282083) prospectively collected data using a web-based CRF. 37 participating centers entered pseudo-anonymized data, which a professional data manager verified for accuracy and consistency. In October 2023, the database has 1,650 patient records. Preliminary data on 1,000 patients is presented in this abstract.
