Large Cell Neuroendocrine Carcinoma of the Gallbladder: A Case Report and Literature Review

#939

Introduction: Primary large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma (LCNEC) of the gallbladder is rare. The standard treatment for gallbladder NEC with liver metastases has not been established, but combination chemotherapy with etoposide plus cisplatin (EP) is recommended for NEC patients with liver metastasis, regardless of the primary tumor site.

Aim(s): We present a case of gallbladder LCNEC and review the literature.

Materials and methods: A 75-year-old man presented with abdominal fullness. CT revealed irregular thickening of the gallbladder wall, multiple liver masses, and enlarged lymph nodes.
