Liver transplantation for metastatic neuroendocrine tumors: Time to extend criteria?
#3508
Introduction: Liver transplant (LT) might be considered in patients with liver-only neuroendocrine metastases (NELM), but controversy continues surrounding patient selection.
Aim(s): To analyse prognostic factors for overall survival (OS) in a cohort of LT patients and assess whether there might be a chance for an extension in selection criteria.
Materials and methods: Retrospective analysis of all consecutive patients who underwent LT for NELM at our center between 1991-2019. Inclusion criteria for LT in NELM were according to MILAN criteria. A subgroup analysis was performed according to the patients’ MILAN-status at LT histopathology sample (pMILAN-IN group vs pMILAN-OUT group).
