Long-term quality of life after pancreatic surgery for neuroendocrine tumours of the pancreas: Outcome of 100 patients evaluated with new EORTC questionnaires
#4529
Introduction: Patients with Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumours (PanNETs) often have a good prognosis with long overall survival.
Aim(s): We evaluated determinants of Quality of Life (QoL) after surgery for PanNETs, using the new EORTC questionnaires.
Materials and methods: PanNETs operated in our centre (1990–2023) received three EORTC QoL questionnaires (QLQ-C30, and new P.NET15 and P.NET19). Three statistical analyses were performed: 1) outcomes from QLQ-C30; 2) domains from QLQ-C30 items and the first 10 items of P.NET19 and P.NET15; 3) domains from P.NET19 and P.NET15 only. Multiple QoL outcomes – both functional and symptomatic scales – were investigated with relationship to the clinical variables. Gamma regression and multivariate analysis with R software (v. 4.4.0) were used for statistics.
