Lung Side and Site: The Importance of Location and the Prognostic Implication in Lung Neuroendocrine Tumors
#3032
Introduction: Lung neuroendocrine tumors (NET) are classified as typical (TC) and atypical carcinoids (AT), according to their mitotic count and the presence of necrosis. However, a role for tumor side (right vs left) and location (central vs peripheric) has not been established so far.
Aim(s): To identify histopathological or clinical features potentially associated with patient outcomes in a population of lung carcinoids.
Materials and methods: Retrospective collection of data from 60 lung NETs treated at two NET Institutions.
