Management of early-stage lung carcinoid: Analysis of NCDB database

Introduction: There is paucity of data to direct the management of resectable lung carcinoids.

Aim(s): To use a large multicenter database to analyse the role of surgery, chemotherapy (CT) and radiation therapy (RT) in early-stage lung carcinoid.

Materials and methods: NCDB database was used to obtain a cohort of patients with resected lung carcinoids. Baseline, treatment and outcome data were collected. Clinical stage T1-2/N0-1 lung carcinoids diagnosed between 2004-2012 were included. Kaplan-Meier methods and multivariable analysis were used.
