Metabolic parameters and visceral adiposity index in type 1 gastric neuroendocrine tumours: A single-centre cross-sectional study
#4483
Introduction: Studies have shown that the accumulation of visceral fat and the occurrence of metabolic syndrome (MetS) lead to disruptions in immune-metabolic crosstalk, contributing to the development and progression of autoimmune diseases and well-differentiated gastric neuroendocrine tumours (gNETs).
Aim(s): To assess metabolic profiles and visceral adiposity in patients with autoimmune gastritis-related type 1 gNETs.
Materials and methods: We conducted a cross-sectional study on patients with type 1 gNETs at the China-Japan Friendship Hospital from 2022 to 2024, collecting MetS-related indices and calculating the visceral adiposity index (VAI).
