Mismatch repair protein and PD-1/PD-L1 expression in pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasm

#3092

Introduction: The genetic features of pNENs are currently poorly understood, specifically in regards to DNA repair.

Aim(s): To reveal the relationship of mismatch repair protein and PD-1/PD-L1 expression with clinicopathological characteristics of patients with pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasm (pNEN).

Materials and methods: Clinical pathological and follow-up data of 105 patients with pNEN from January 2007 to October 2019 were collected. Mismatch repair (MMR) protein expression including MSH2, MSH6, MLH1 and PMS2 in tumors from 80 patients and PD-1 / PD-L1 expression in tumors from 23 patients were evaluated using immunohistochemistry. The correlations of the expression of mismatch repair protein and PD-1/PD-L1 and clinicopathological features were assessed.
