Mixed neuroendocrine non-neuroendocrine neoplasm associated with gastric autoimmunity: A clinicopathological analysis of two cases
#4347
Introduction: Two cases of mixed neuroendocrine tumour - gastric adenocarcinoma were found in patients with autoimmune atrophic gastritis. Both components expressed synaptophysin, initially suggesting a neuroendocrine tumour diagnosis. However, further examination confirmed the presence of gastric adenocarcinoma of fundic gland type.
Aim(s): This study aims to analyse the rare MiNET-GAFG from a clinicopathological perspective, expanding understanding of AAG-related gastric tumours while improving pathological diagnosis of NET and GA-FG.
Materials and methods: Clinical data and pathological information were collected for two confirmed cases of MiNET-GAFG patients diagnosed in the Department of Pathology at Fudan University Cancer Hospital.
