Neuroendocrine tumors in pediatrics and young adults

Introduction: Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) are rare and heterogeneous neoplasms with different origins, biology, hormone secretion, and genetic mutations. An increase in the presentation of NETs has been observed in <40 years of age, it's necessary to understand this subject due to limited data.
Aim(s): To describe the features of NETs in pediatrics and young adults.
Materials and methods: A retrospective review of a database of 155 patients between 8-39 years old diagnosed with NETs from January 1996 to October 2023. All pathologies were reclassified.
