New insight in the environment immunephenotyping of gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms: CD 90 expression

#4253

Introduction: Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NEN) represent a particular model of host-tumor interaction. CD90 (Thy-1) is a glycoprotein involved in cell–cell/cell–matrix interactions and is associated to stem phenotype and metastatic potential.

Aim(s): To evaluate the association between clinicopathological variables and CD90 expression in patients with NEN.

Materials and methods: We selected patients with a diagnosis of NEN and available tissue and clinical data. Stainings were performed using anti-CD90. We evaluated the association among CD90 expression and variuos clinicopathological features using the Kruskal wallis test. Survival outcomes were compared using Kaplan-Meier curves.
