One-Stage Middle-Preserving Pancreatectomy: Indications and Outcomes
#2931
Introduction: Parenchyma-sparing surgical techniques are used in pancreatic surgery to preserve organ function. Middle-preserving pancreatectomy (MPP) may be an alternative to total pancreatectomy (TP) in benign/borderline disease that does not affect pancreatic body.
Aim(s): To evaluate clinical presentation, surgical technique, histology and outcome of patients who underwent one-stage MPP.
Materials and methods: Two men of 26 and 66 years old underwent one-stage MPP in our Pancreatic Unit in 2018. Follow-up to November 2019.
