Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors: Two Different TNM Staging Systems
#627
Introduction: Several staging systems for pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PNETs) exist but the most appropriate one has not been defined.
Aim(s): To compare two TNM staging systems proposed by the European Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (ENETS) and the American Joint Committee for Cancer (AJCC) in patients with PNETs.
Materials and methods: Thirty-two patients who underwent surgery for PNETs between 1996 and 2012 were stratified according to the two TNM staging systems. Survival was estimated with the Kaplan–Meier methodology.
