Predictive value of pepsinogen I and I/II ratio for diagnosing autoimmune gastritis
#4307
Introduction: Autoimmune gastritis (AIG) is sometimes difficult to diagnose.
Aim(s): To evaluate the predictive value of pepsinogen I (PGI) and I/II ratio as a non-invasive screening test for AIG.
Materials and methods: Retrospective analysis of 229 patients diagnosed with AIG and 189 patients with H. pylori associated atrophic gastritis as control group at Beijing Friendship Hospital 2020-2023. All patients underwent serological tests of fast gastrin-17, pepsinogen I/II, anti-H. pylori antibody, gastroscope and biopsy histology. The study was registered in Chinese Clinical Trial Registry (ChiCTR2200062001).
