Predictors of lymph node involvement in patients with pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors

#3602

Introduction: Lymph node involvement (LNI) is an important marker of malignancy and, as such, may influence prognosis of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PNETs). There are few literatures evaluating the risk factors of LNI, especially in combination with preoperative imaging.

Aim(s): To investigate the predictive value of preoperative radiologic characteristics and clinical features on lymph node involvement (LNI) in pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PNETs).

Materials and methods: 236 patients with preoperative Computed Tomography (CT)/ Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) who underwent the radical surgical resection for PNETs in our hospital from 2009 to 2019 were identified for analysis. Univariate and multivariable logistic regressions were performed to investigate the risk factors associated with the presence of LNI and tumor recurrence. Disease-Free Survival (DFS) of patients with and without LNI was compared.
