Prognosis of patients with rectal neuroendocrine neoplasms and liver metastasis: An analysis based on SEER database
#3121
Introduction: The onset of rectal neuroendocrine neoplasms(r-NENs) is insidious, and the prognosis is relatively good. However, the metastasis of r-NENs may also occur, and the main target organ of distant metastasis is liver. At present, there are few clinical studies on r-NENs, especially there is no consensus on the treatment of r-NENs with distant metastasis, so it is urgent to accumulate large-scale evidence-based medical evidence.
Aim(s): To explore the clinical features and the influencing factors of prognosis of patients with r-NENs and liver metastasis, and thus providing a theoretical basis for selecting optimal methods for the treatment of r-NENs.
Materials and methods: The prognosis of patients was based on a retrospective study on patients diagnosed with r-NENs and liver metastasis from 2010 to 2016 in Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results database.
