Prognostic factors for survival in patients with metastatic small intestinal neuroendocrine tumours undergoing primary tumour resection
#4515
Introduction: Although guidelines recommend primary tumour resection in metastatic small intestinal neuroendocrine tumours (SI-NETs) to manage symptoms and complications, the survival benefit and optimal surgical approach remain unclear.
Aim(s): This study aims to identify predictive factors for overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) in these cases.
Materials and methods: A single-centre retrospective analysis of metastatic SI-NET patients who underwent primary tumour resection focused on OS and PFS as primary outcomes. Univariate Cox regression identified prognostic factors for survival.
