Radioembolization of neuroendocrine neoplasms liver metastases: Efficacy and toxicity
#3556
Introduction: In patients with unresectable liver metastases, radioembolization has been used to treat tumors from a range of cancers, including neuroendocrine neoplasms.
Aim(s): The aim of our retrospective study was to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of radioembolization with yttrium-90 (90Y) microspheres in cases with unresectable neuroendocrine tumor liver metastases (NEN-LM).
Materials and methods: Eight patients (mean age, 68 years) underwent microsphere based 90Y radioembolization for unresectable NET-LM at a single institution between 06.2018 and 06.2020. Post-treatment tumor response was assessed by RECIST 1.1 criteria and sides effects according to Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (CTCAE).
