Real-world outcomes in patients with gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms at a cancer centre in a middle-income country
#4419
Introduction: Gastroenteropancreatic (GEP) neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) are rare tumours that are increasing in prevalence. However, the epidemiology of GEP-NENs in Latin America is not well understood.
Aim(s): The primary objective of this study was to describe the survival outcomes of patients with GEP-NENs.
Materials and methods: We conducted a retrospective observational study of patients with GEP-NENs treated at Instituto Nacional de Cancerología in Bogotá, Colombia, between January 1, 2008, and January 1, 2020. We reviewed medical histories and pathology reports. We used Kaplan-Meier estimator and Cox regression.
