Results of active observation of pancreatic non-functioning neuroendocrine tumours – Medical registry data

Introduction: Algorithm for stage T1 pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours (PNETs) treatment requires clarification.
Aim(s): To evaluate results of long-term follow-up of patients with non-functioning PNET T1-T2 stage using a medical registry.
Materials and methods: Medical registry of the A.S. Loginov Moscow Scientific Center was evaluated, including 312 patients with PNET from 2014 to 2023. Observation was recommended for 115 (36.9%). Inclusion criteria: diagnosis of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumour; non-functioning tumour status; asymptomatic disease, tumour size less than 3 cm, patient's consent to observational tactics. Exclusion criteria: patient’s refusal of observation; tumour growth of more than 3 mm over a year of observation; appearance of disease symptoms.
