Safety and Efficacy of TAE and SIRT in NET Patients

#2252

Introduction: Transarterial embolization (TAE) and Selective Internal Radiation Therapy (SIRT) are used for treating patients with liver metastases of a neuroendocrine tumour (NET). However, the safety and effectiveness of TAE and SIRT have scarcely been compared.

Aim(s): Retrospective head-to-head comparison of TAE AND SIRT on safety and efficacy.

Materials and methods: Consecutive patients with well differentiated NET undergoing TAE or SIRT during 2004-2016 were analyzed. Toxicity and response were evaluated during 3 months of follow up according CTCAE v4.03 and RECIST 1.1.
